ABOUT KRIS

 

          

      

        The using of Kris it self is among malay heritage society. During this period at time, Kris generally has been known in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand and Philippine. Before the using of Kris, Malay society use bones, rocks, woods that had been shaped so sharply and fish tails as a weapon. some opinion says that the beginning at Keris is originally from China in the province at Yunan.

       From the author of 'Rahsia Keris dan Senjata Warisan Melayu' Mr Zakaria b. Abdullah from Kota Bharu Kelantan, Malaysia, he accept and did not deny the fact. It is because from the his experience for more than 40 years, he have heard about this issue and he has been given a souvenier also Keris that have been given by someone from Yunan, China years ago. According to him, along time ago in China, there was a society who just found bronze seeds and have a shape like Kris and some at the  people in that society has reform the physical shape with the mixing of iron seeds. Kris has growth through the traders from Yunan to the malay archipelago.However he si still looking and studying the prove and the fact that can support this believe.

        Kris have many shapes, such as bending, straight, thick, thin, short and long. Normally Kris had a weird number at bending "Luk" such as 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and others. The number at weird "Luk" is lot compare the fix number such as 2, 4, 6, 8,10 and others. The reason is because the fix number is the last Kris from the iron man. It is something to close the production of the Kris. If it still making the Kris, it is believe that he will have a bad luck according to their belief. The weird number at bending "Luk" also known as the girl and the fix number of bending "Luk" is a boy.         From the Malay ancient believe, Kris have take care and to smoke up in a several time and is so good at the night of friday and tuesday, it is because it will get supernatural power and can give good luck for the owner. However, Keris actually doesn't have any power and if me think it logically, me cannot be controlled by others so easily because of the power at the weapon. Kris is a symbol of Malay aultanete and have to respeet and remember always.
